WorkLIFE Program Relaunch: Empowering Young Adults for Long-Term Success

Sunshine Gospel Ministries proudly relaunched its WorkLIFE Program this summer, running from July 15 to August 27, 2025, with approximately 10 young adults participating. In partnership with local businesses and community organizations, this year’s seven-week session marked the exciting return of a year-round initiative dedicated to empowering young adults with essential career skills, mentorship, and job placement opportunities.

Through structured career training and real-world experience, participants built the confidence and capabilities needed for lasting employment and long-term economic stability. The program featured workforce development workshops, including the creation of résumés, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles, as well as soft skills development in communication, financial literacy, and time management.

Each participant also received one-on-one mentorship and coaching, offering personalized support that continued beyond the program’s conclusion. Several participants have already secured job placements and internships, a reflection of the program’s growing impact and community partnerships.

“This experience gave me more than just job skills—it gave me confidence in my future,” shared one WorkLIFE participant.

As Sunshine looks ahead, the WorkLIFE relaunch represents just the beginning of an expanded effort to prepare and position young adults for meaningful, long-term employment. With new opportunities, strengthened partnerships, and innovative programming on the horizon, we’re excited to unveil what’s next for WorkLIFE and the bright futures it continues to shape.
