Thanksgiving Recap

This Thanksgiving season, our community came together in the most joyful and meaningful ways. We kicked things off with our Jingle & Mingle Wellness Fair, where families, neighbors, and friends gathered for a night filled with festive fun and wellness-focused activities. From a lively cooking demonstration to upbeat line dancing, gift card raffles, and delicious free food, the event offered something for everyone. It was inspiring to see so many guests explore health resources while also celebrating the warmth of the season.

Just two days later, the spirit of gratitude continued at the Sunshine Gospel Ministries Food Pantry. Held at 500 E. 61st Street, the pantry opened its doors to serve families from 11:30 AM until supplies ran out. Together, we distributed food, shared smiles, and created a space where support and compassion flowed freely. Seeing our community show up for one another—especially during the holiday season—was a beautiful reminder of what togetherness truly means.

As we reflect on such a heartwarming Thanksgiving week, we’re already looking ahead with excitement. Our Christmas Store opens tomorrow, and we can’t wait to continue uplifting our families and spreading joy throughout our local community.
