Easter Celebration Recap

On March 28 at 11 a.m., Sunshine Gospel Ministries opened its doors and its heart to the community for its very first Easter Celebration, and the joy was unmistakable. Held at Sunshine Gospel Ministries at 500 E 61st Street, the event brought together 54 neighbors for a morning filled with faith, fellowship, and fun.

This special day was made possible by the incredible work of our Easter Community Outreach Committee, Adrienne, Kayla, and LaToya, who did an absolutely amazing job planning and executing every detail. We are also deeply grateful to David, Donnell, and Ramon for their support and assistance on Saturday, helping ensure the event ran smoothly.

Throughout the celebration, the Gospel was shared and Bibles were distributed, grounding the day in purpose and hope. Laughter echoed as children participated in two Easter egg hunts, while families enjoyed tasty food, music, and dancing together. Children and adults alike joined in the fun, creating memories through play, movement, and connection. One of the most loved moments of the day was taking pictures with the Easter Bunny, which quickly became a fan favorite.

Our first Easter Celebration was a beautiful reminder of what happens when community comes together. We are grateful to everyone who attended, served, and helped make this day so meaningful, and we look forward to many more moments like this in the future.
